The foot print of the kitchen was retained while overall storage was doubled. Replacing the original 90° corners with 45° angles gives the kitchen a more spacious feel.

The original built-in pantry was replaced with side-by-side pantry cabinets. Each pantry cabinet has 5 full-extension shelves. Storage was increased 5-fold.

Pendant lighting over the island provides an attractive design element while providing warmth to the kitchen and function for food preparation.
